Remember Who You Really Are

I know I must have addressed this in another post. But all too often when a person becomes entangled in pornography, they forget who they really are. You are a child of God, a son or daughter of God, with divine worth and infinite potential to be and do great things. Our Father in Heaven, the creator of the universe, is literally the father of your spirit, that means your divine birthright is greatness. Not more great than anyone else, and not less great than any one else, just great. Satan of course puts up a big smoke screen and want you to define yourself by your mistakes. He wants you to think your worst mistakes, your blackest moments show the most truth about you. Those mistakes may be the truth of what you did, but not the truth of who you are meant to be. As you turn to Christ and give him the burdens that you carry, darkness can be turned to light. What Satan would use to crush you, Christ can use to refine you, to elevate you, to help you become someone better than you can imagine. Satan gives people a case of mistaken identity, and once we buy into the false identity, we make that our reality… a miserable, unhappy reality. If you are miserable and unhappy, then you are not being true to who you really are as a child of God. As you turn to Christ, give your burdens to him, accept your true identity and are true to the light and knowledge you have, your life is joyful! That doesn’t mean your life is easy, but it is worth it to live a meaningful, purposeful life that is full of joy despite ever present challenges.

My son sent me a link to this youtube video that I thought did a pretty good job of getting this message across. Please take a few minutes to watch this.
God bless you!
