Why is porn so addictive?

I have been looking through other websites and youtube videos about pornography addiction. I am glad there are many voices speaking out against pornography. However, I feel our voices are just a drop in the bucket of what is needed. Yet I am grateful to everyone who is willing to speak out against porn.

However, one of the problems is that even these well meaning people don’t know the truth about what is going on behind the scenes on a spiritual level. Most look at brain chemistry to explain the addictive nature of porn. It is true that pornography has a measurable impact on the brain. There are other problems that pornography creates that are brought up. It destroys relationships, leads to rape and violence, makes it so a man can’t be intimate with his spouse. These are all good reasons to stay away from porn. However, what is going on at a spiritual level in the unseen world around us is the biggest problem. Without addressing this, trying to quit porn is like trying to control dandelions with a lawn mower. It can work, but it is really hard. If you haven’t read the article on this blog called,  Why you can’t stop once you start be sure to read that now. This shows the reality of what is going on. As help people address this truth, freedom from pornography is much easier to attain. If I can help in any way feel free to contact me.
